Nobel-prize-winning physicist Albert Einstein is best known for his
theory of relativity and specifically mass-energy equivalence, E = mc2.
In popular culture the name "Einstein" has become synonymous with
genius. That is part of the inspiration behind the Albert Einstein
Distinguished Educator Fellowship Act, which was signed into law in
November 1994

Einstein died doubting quantum mechanics. What a genius!
Einstein was not always right.
I'm not sure that's true.

His Nobel Prize was for work in quantum mechanics; the photoelectric
effect to be specific.
What does that have to do with anything?

It's more complex than that. Read about the EPR Paradox:

P.S. And, yes, Professor Einstein was a genius!! Some of the founders
of Quantum Mechanics did not fully accept the implications of their own
theories. In this respect, Professor Einstein was no different than any
of his colleagues.

its weird how he didn't win the nobel for his most transformitive
works. when eddington confirmed the bending of light around our sun,
that should have been an instant nobel right there for GR. i guess
there were antisemites in sweden at that time, is my only guess.
Good call. Yes, I think you're right.

to the point black pearl made, yes einstein was against qm, he was wrong
obviously there.
Quantum mechanics is the study of little things. Didn't Heisenberg say
that we can never be certain of little things' positions? It's based on
a marginal case, that of tiny tiny, much smaller than nanotechnology. I
studied it, that doesn't mean I have to believe in it.

what exactly is your argument against qm? the uncertainty? that

He accepted quantum mechanics as a description of nature, but thought
the popular explanation for that description was incomplete.

No, only that we can't be certain of their position *and momentum* at
the same time.

Quantum electrodynamics is the single most well-verified theory in the
history of science. And I think even you would have to believe in
quantum mechanics when quantum computers become a commercial reality.

we are getting there slowly, likely another 10-15 years before
quantum chips are out, unless AI helps accelerate that timeline.

For the record, Einie didn't earn The Prize for
'relativity' because the theory is SO far-
reaching that people are STILL busy confirming
bits of it.

Maybe by 2108 they'll finally agree he got it
right.

However the quantum view - it DOES complicate
the picture. So far, there's still no good
'bridge' between Einie and Planck.

Hmm ... maybe they're 'two universes' - both
correct so long as you stay in them, but with
no real 'compatibility' between them ? That'd
be both weird, and cool.

uhhh its already confirmed, it was already confirmed in 1919, so
